Vestas – Chennai, Tamil Nadu – An Exciting Opportunity with the Group Quality team at Vestas Vestas Wind Technology India Pvt Ltd Quality Specialist – Global QSE Department Global QSE leads the global approach to Quality, Safety and Environment in Vestas throughout the value chain. The function supports both very strategic & operational QSE tasks, leads towards achieving the QSE objectives and targets, as well as leads the Global Management System and its certification against ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. Global Management Systems & Projects is a Global function under Global QSE with focus on leading group wide for Management systems, HSE Analysis, QSE Performance Management, QSE Methods, Tools & Awareness, QSE Service Centre and QSE Projects and assessment. People are located in India and Denmark and drive global activities coordinating with the regional resources and other functions. We are looking for Specialist to lead and champion various Advance Quality Assurance activities directed towards New product development Quality (both internal activities and sometimes with Supplier) on a global scale. Responsibilities: As a Quality Specialist you will be leading quality assurance & Improvement initiatives which will be identified time to time by the leadership & drive along with other functional leads and colleagues in improving quality levels in entire value chain covering Mainly Supply chain and Manufacturing. In this highly visible role, You will utilize your knowledge and analytical skills for improving the quality maturity of supply base and internal manufacturing by Implement and enforce quality assurance procedures and systems throughout the value chain in accordance with a stringent standard of quality in Vestas. Your responsibilities are to; Lead Advance Quality planning to ensure Safe launch for the new projects in vestas throughout the value chain i.e., Design, Manufacturing, Construction, Installation and Service to reduce risk. Implement the closed loop quality principles & adherence to Vestas Quality standards, DFMEA, CTQs, PMEA, Control plans, Testing standards, etc. at the identified factories and key suppliers. Work with the vestas production facilities to improve the quality maturity through Maturity assessment & agreed action plan. Implement the Safe Launch Plan to ensure that the Quality Levels are maintained during the Ramp up activities from Prototype to Serial production. Qualifications: You have an education as minimum a Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering (or scientific subjects) with 10 – 15 years of experience within Quality. Furthermore, we expect that you have the following qualifications: Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Production/Chemical) (or scientific subjects) Minimum 10 years’ experience in In-house Quality assurance / Supplier Advance Quality demonstrating success in managing medium to complex projects to Successful launch in multiple locations. Sound Knowledge in Quality Tools such as QFD, MSA, FMEA, SPC ISO 9001,8D, PPAP etc. Should have handled Major Product Quality Development program in medium and large organisations such as Heavy engineering, Automobile etc Drive process control strategies with Process Maps, PFMEA, Control plans, Gage R&R and Process Capability Analysis Proven track records of working with Six Sigma DMAIC methodology, Certified Six Sigma Black belt. Certification and Experience in VDA 6.3 Process Audits Able to work independently & good team player Excellent English skills both Oral & Written. Is mobile & Flexible: 30-50 % travel expected (international) Change management and the ability to lead through other people. Proven ability in Project Management and time management skills Work experience in multi-cultural background with International Collaborative environment. Ability to influence and promote cultural change in Multicultural environment Must be flexible to take new projects and initiatives within Quality Area & drive independently. .
