Short Description Formulate strain specific nutrient combinations to enhance productivity in lead strain. Long Description Job Accountabilities Strain specific media optimization for open air cultivation in ponds. Develop an understanding of algae nutrition utilization and metabolism. Prepare and optimize nutrient combinations for specific algae strains in the lab. Coordinate with cross functional teams to demonstrate translation of strain specific optimized media in outdoor ponds. Report preparation and data presentation. Able to work independently. Skills Required (Knowledge and Skills) Microbiology and cell biology, basic algal physiology and biochemistry, understanding of biochemical pathways and metabolite analysis. Ability to study respiration, photosynthesis of marine algae. Ability to assay intra and extra cellular enzymes of algae, formulate different media, design experiments for nutrient optimization. Key Attributes (Experience and Qualifications) Atleast 1 year experience in large scale cultivation of algae/ microbe preferred. Publications in peer reviewed journals. Ph. D in algal/ microbial physiology/ biochemistry.
