PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES SAP PI Technology Engineering Services Production team is an SAP internal provider of standard Dev Ops continues Integration and deliver services and processes, required to efficiently develop and ship wide range of SAP Products using Jenkins & internally developed tool xmake. Our strategy is to offer simple & scalable services to development areas for enabling them to produce and to ship software products in a standard-compliant using Dev Ops methodology By consuming our standard offerings, development teams can concentrate on product development instead of investing resources on a custom production process. Nevertheless, we also consult teams that have to apply their own custom processes for technical reasons and help them to do it in a standard compliant way. EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES – Bachelor in computer science/IT – Good Knowledge in programing language JAVA/C/C++/C# is desirable. – Excellent knowledge on any SCM tool (perforce or git), Build Tools (Maven, make, Ant). – Excellent knowledge in scripting language Python/Shell/Perl. – Knowledge in Inra automation using CHEF/Puppet on Windows & Linux. – Knowledge in Jenkins or any Continuous Integration build system. – Ability and eagerness to learn and explore new topics independently. – Excellent customer service and time management skills – Excellent analytical skills, Good in communication both written & oral, Result-Driven, Should be flexible and capable of multitasking, good team player. EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS Develop plugins for new service offering using python Maintain the existing Dev Ops infrastructure and support the local development teams to onboard for new products. Configure & maintain systems required for producing Build on Windows & Linux platform. Analyze & resolve the issues raised related to Build infrastructure & production tools. Enable supporting quality & reporting systems. Communicate with stake holders in a considerate and professional manner, clearly and politely providing high valued remote services that enable stake holder to implement and operate their development environment at their maximum potential. Development of support tools in overall production area focusing tools for improvement and simplify our service offering. WORK EXPERIENCE – Minimum 3 years of overall experience and 1 year in Build & Release Management area. – Experience in Windows & Linux Infrastructure tools automation. – Experience in Virtual Infrastructure would be added advantage.
