Posted Position Title: Engineering Manager 2 Career Level: Experienced Function: Engineering/Technology Function Segment: Functional Management Location: India U.S. State, China or Canada Provinces: City: Bangalore Postal Code: 560066 Relocation Assistance: No Role Summary/Purpose: The Enterprise Imaging business has a product development team in JFWTC, Bangalore. The role of the Engineering Manager would be to lead the engineering Scrum teams in Bangalore who are involved in design, development and verification of, NPI, Legacy and IB applications Essential Responsibilities: The Engineering Manager position is to lead the EI development team. Works closely with global functional, program and cross functional leaders to achieve functional excellence. Some of the key responsibilities include (but are not limited to): – Functional leadership of the EI Development team that includes recruitment, talent development, skill set improvement and mentoring – Setting the strategy and direction for the EI Development team in Bangalore and striving for continuous improvement. – Resource assignment and prioritization, including headcount and base cost management Quality Specific Goals: – Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations – Guide the team in ensuring adherence to quality and regulatory policy and procedures – Ensure compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements – Lead continuous improvement activities by driving the implementation of process and product quality improvement initiatives Qualifications/Requirements: – Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Computer Science or Biomedical Engineering). – 10+ yrs. of overall design & development experience with at least 5+ yrs. experience in functional leadership positions in medical product development. – Demonstrated ability to lead complex multi-team and global product development activities with rigor and execution excellence. – Demonstrated people management skills in mentoring and coaching team. Demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire excellence. – Demonstrated engineering knowledge, functional management, business planning processes and experience with the full product lifecycle. – Familiarity with ISO, FDA and other regulatory standards.
