MoneyGram is a leading global money transfer company, with an established business in the region and the ambition to grow exponentially. The Senior Business Development Manager (SBDM) will be responsible for creating opportunities for new partnership and growing the business within a specific geography in the South Asia region, comprising India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal. These opportunities will be with new age distribution channels, the telcos, banks and retail chains. The SBDM will in addition look at bringing on board new partners in the send market that help penetrate the markets and provide for a wider reach in offering the service to the consumer. India is witnessing a new reforms and developments in the banking space. The Central Bank has approved 11 payment banks and will soon be approving licences for Small Banks. The SBDM is expected to engage with Senior Management at the newly approved Payment Banks and Small Banks to explore partnership opportunities and increasing MoneyGrams reach in the India market. He/She will be the primary contact within MoneyGram to manage day to day activities and in developing long term strategies to drive growth, improve partner engagement and satisfaction. Primary Responsibilities Drive initiatives to setup dialogues with prospective alliances Successfully tie up with partners Manage development and deployment of projects to take partners live. Manage overall transaction and revenue growth with the partners Manage day-to-day engagement and communications with key partners Work with other internal departments, including Marketing, Operations, Finance and International teams within Moneygram to influence inward remittance growth, developing and executing territory specific strategies.. Conduct business reviews with key Partners and identify/implement improvement initiatives to drive growth Responsible for the communication of new business processes or changes to existing processes. Provide communication on new product functionality and/or software roadmaps and enhancements. Bring together appropriate resources to resolve issues before they impact transaction volume and revenue Analyze trends and develop strategies to capitalize on opportunities to maximize customer revenue contribution. Qualifications Qualifications Any combination of relevant education and experience and/or related professional designations/certifications in this field are highly desirable. Education Minimum Required: • BA/BS degree in related field preferred or equivalent work experience Experience Minimum Required: • 7+ years’ experience in a B2B sales role, selling, tie ups and servicing corporate customers • Demonstrated expertise in independently planning, managing and executing sales strategies Essential Skills Minimum Required: Proven track record in sales, business development and alliances. Demonstrated experience shortlisted and identifying potential relationships, in building and maintaining customer/client relationships and identifying opportunities to improve business Prior exposure in presenting product/service opportunities to clients/customers First class interpersonal skills, able to build and maintain credible relationships with Alliances in person and over the telephone Strong presentation skills – ability to present to prospective Alliances in a professional format Excellent organizational skills; ability to prioritize own workload and liaison with a geographically dispersed team Excellent problem solving skills – able to effectively and proactively identify and analyse problems and find appropriate solutions Commercial acumen – able to work with key business partners to maximize business capacity for all parties Able to work in a culturally diverse environment and be sensitive to cultural differences Fluent in both written and spoken in English.
