This is a great opportunity to work on early releases of a brand new product ! The Team This team develops next generation firewall and intrusion detection systems. Role & Responsibilities: Your responsibilities will include individual and team based research and design documents, software implementation, testing and debugging. You will be working on SNORT product in protocol inspection, next-gen firewall, deep packet inspection, intrusion prevention and detection and network stack. Develop and maintain backend and framework for Unified Management applications using C, Perl and shell scripting Participate in technical discussions and contribute to product innovation Work with engineering teams spread across different geographical locations (India & US) Qualification Excellent programming skills and strong knowledge of data structures and operating systems Experience in implementing Networking Protocols for, Routing/Switching, IP, TCP/UDP, and application layers such as HTTP, SMTP, etc Experience in security based products is an added advantage. Experience with tcpdump, packet filtering, sniffing, Ethernet packet based analysis. Strong algorithm development background is a plus especially experience developing security based products, and decoding algorithms.
