Posted Position Title: Solutions Architect – Data and Analytics Career Level: Experienced Function: Information Technology Function Segment: Data and Analytics Location: India U.S. State, China or Canada Provinces: City: Bangalore Postal Code: 560066 Relocation Assistance: No Role Summary/Purpose: The Solutions Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing data management processes and technologies across Energy Connections’ growing analytics and reporting landscape. New technologies are being defined, piloted, and implemented, and this role will enable and operationalize the tools and infrastructure in support of these initiatives. This is a technical role requiring the ability to be both hands on & managerial drive roadmaps to completion on aggressive schedules. Essential Responsibilities: – Drive initiatives and projects related to data virtualization, change-data-capture, and data transformation on new and emerging technologies – Partner with functional & technical teams to confirm the applicability of design alternatives, identify and recommend cost effective options, and address concerns in a high paced matrix environment – Design, build, and configure complex systems with a focus on best practices for scalability, supportability, ease of administration, and system performance – Build and grow expertise in contemporary tools and concepts related to “big data” and be an evangelist for current trends – Define, communicate, influence, and enforce data architecture, data management, and reporting standards and governance – Architect and apply new data management and analytic technologies to solve challenging business problems – Ensure solutions balance quality, cost, speed, and simplification – Work closely and directly P&L business intelligence and various GE enterprise teams to develop strategies, evaluate, and implement new technologies – Document architectures and technical designs to be implemented by the development teams – Lead projects to automate transactional, reporting and analytic processes to increase the business productivity – Drive solution adoption to expand tool capabilities – Provide leadership & project level management in the strategy, planning, evaluation, implementation, operation & control of applications, data, and analytical tools Qualifications/Requirements: – Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related technical discipline – Minimum 10 years of IT experience with a broad array of information technologies, with 5 years of experience working with data, databases, or data integrations Additional Eligibility Qualifications: Desired Characteristics: – Technical experience in state of the art data tools and technologies – Masters in Computer Science, Engineering or other technical discipline – Excellent track record in delivering quality technical solutions – Strong critical thinking and decision-making ability – Ability to operate across technical and functional teams effectively – ITLP Graduate (GE employees only) – Lean Six Sigma Certification – PMP Certification… – Permanent – Full-time
