This position works independently and is seen as a senior level. This position is responsible for Build and Release strategy for a product family across multiple versions and releases. Individual will show deep understanding of development, scalability, availability and performance. Essential Responsibilities: – Build, manage, and continuously improve the build infrastructure for global software development engineering teams including implementation of build scripts, continuous integration infrastructure and deployment tools. – Design & Implement automated web-based dashboards for showing results of static analysis, dynamic analysis, & code coverage tools. – Work on continuously improve build time, efficiency and scalability of the build system. – Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of continuous build/deployment systems – Establish tools to manage software branch/merging processes. – Influence and drive operational excellence best practices in the CBS organization in coordination with the global teams – Manage day to day escalations on build environment and ensure teams are not blocked because of build un-availability. – India being global CoE for Build & CI This role demands an outstanding communication skill to handle executive stack holders to ensure no communication gaps are set. Qualifications/Requirements: 1. Minimum 10+ years of experience in Build & Release Engineering in an industry environment. 2. Experience in all aspects of Software Development Life Cycle in an industry environment using Waterfall/Agile development methodologies 3. Programming skills in Perl, and shell scripting. 4. Experience with make, ANT, and Eclipse development platform. 5. Experience setting up and/or maintaining automated build system. 6. Familiarity with build-time dependency management (Maven or Ivy) 7. Expertise with build automation tools (e.g.Jenkins, CruiseControl, Electric Cloud) 8.
