Team Be part of a team in a fast paced agile scrum environment building advanced call routing capabilities for the next generation contact center marketplace. Our software product is run by a who’s who of Fortune 500 customers and service providers. Our customers expect, and get, uninterrupted continuous operation. You will work as part of a team building new features and new capabilities to those exacting standards. Role Participate (in a senior/ lead role) on a project team of engineers involved in development of software for Cisco products. Requires use of a strong background in SW design, documentation and implementation. Own the product from the technical angle, covering all aspects of architecture, design & development practices Be the technical authority of the product while engaging with current/potential customers and external teams. Communicate technical vision/obstacles to variety of stake holders with varying background Design and implementation of contact center solutions centered on queuing and IVR. Must be accomplished in VoIP, Call Control (SIP), VXML and Java development. Works with the SCRUM Team and Product owner to ensure technical alignment and success of the product. Experience with Maven, Eclipse, TCL, CCNA, VMware is highly desirable. Proven track record in architecting, designing and implementing complex telecom solutions. Responsibilities: Tightly integrates with SCRUM team(s) Insures implementation supports unit and functional testability, automation, scalability, performance, security, appropriate extensibility, etc. Insures that a customer solution view is brought to the code set. Provides technical mentoring to teams and individuals Seeks out and removes (or raises attention to) obstacles that limit team velocity Ensures that strong development practices are followed and high quality, maintainable code is being developed. Continually drives refactoring for solution simplification and code complexity reduction. Actively engaged in Planning, Look-ahead Owns short / medium / long term product architecture and technical product vision. Must be aligned with customer solution architecture, overall BU technical vision, product roadmap and current technical architecture. Works with product owner to translate product ideas into technically feasible stories Coordinates with other external teams to communicate technical dependencies and requirements Works with product owner to put dependencies and external deliverables into product backlog Works with product owner to put dependencies and external deliverables into product backlog Requirements: 12+ years of software development experience Must be accomplished in VoIP, Call Control, SIP, VXML and related protocols Must have expertise in server side application development in Java Good understanding of networking and web application concepts Experience working in an Agile / Scrum environment Desired skills Experience in performance optimization and scalable application design Experience in developing and consuming REST APIs Experience of developing products for enterprise and service provider customers Experience in continuous integration and testing systems Experience in developing Contact Center Software is a plus About Cisco The Internet of Everything is a phenomenon driving new opportunities for Cisco and it’s transforming our customers’ businesses worldwide.
