The Team The CITT – Unified Infrastructure & Cloud team in Bangalore GDC focusses on Cloud solutions and technologies to help customers Plan, build, deploy and optimize the most robust, scalable and innovative IT infra using Cisco’s products and technologies. We need a creative problem solver, comfortable with challenging the status quo and rapidly responding to customers’ demands to deploy and support Cisco’s latest technologies and products. With a seasoned mix of broad networking knowledge and specific area expertise, you’re well positioned to become a trusted advisor, capable of building solid, long-term relationships with customers. You will be expected to continuously enhance your skills and expertise to lead the technology/solution transitions and industry trends. Role & Responsibilities Provide Planning, Designing, Implementation, Operation and Optimization services to Cisco Advanced Services Customers around Cisco’s cloud solutions thus enabling business outcomes and IT transformation Participates in or leads complex Data Center and Cloud infrastructure (network, storage, compute, virtualization & automation) design/implementation and migration, performance engineering or problem resolution projects Solves complex, cross-functional issues that cross many technologies in network, server, storage, O/S, virtualization, consolidation, middleware, security, applications, operations, content switching, caching and/or content delivery networks, and security. Work closely with the project manager on the engagement to ensure compliance to set processes, weekly progress and status checks, ongoing communications and meetings with the customers and drive technical leadership and solutions & deliverables discussions with the customers. Mentor, coach and guide other consultants and engineers on the project to enable them for delivery. Work closely with the sales and regional teams to participate and drive the preparation of proposals and Statements of Work. Identify & influence additional business opportunities in collaboration with sales team by leveraging knowledge of customer’s network, challenges and future plans. Ensure smooth closure of engagements using relationship with the customer to guide them to the next steps and help them understand the services portfolio and value of Cisco services. Minimum Qualifications Strong expertise and knowledge of Cisco’s products and technologies in either of below : Network Infrastructure: Products: Nexus, ASR, Load balancer, N1KV and other Cisco’s core router and switches Technologies: BGP, OSPF, ISIS, MPLS, vPC, VDC, OTV , Fabric path OR Virtualized Infrastructure: Products: Servers (UCS etc.), Storage (EMC-VNX, Netapp..) UCSD, MDS Technologies: Hypervisors ( VMWare/Hyper-V/KVM ), Storage technologies ( File , block , object storage, FCoE, iSCSI, etc ) , replication, backup, and performance, workload mobility, Network virtualization and related components across servers. Additional skills preferred: Scripting: (Python, Pearl & REST API) OS skills: Linux, Microsoft Database knowledge Application knowledge Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communications skills, ability to communicate technology strategy and architecture approach to engineers, executives, and Cisco customers. Strong consulting & client-facing skills to include cross-functional influence, external and internal consulting/partnering. Desired Skills Requires BS/BE/B.Tech degree or equivalent plus 5+ years of related experience in IT industry Certifications Preferred – CCIE ( Preferred ), VCP ( Plus ) Passionate, persuasive, charismatic thought leader capable of quickly establishing executive interest in how to architect, deploy and operate the virtualized data center of the future by articulating the value and business advantage of data center and cloud architectures.
