Posted Position Title: Software Project Lead Career Level: Experienced Function: Engineering/Technology Function Segment: Applications and Software Location: India U.S. State, China or Canada Provinces: City: Bangalore Postal Code: 560066 Relocation Assistance: No Role Summary/Purpose: The Software Project Lead will serve as the project lead on the development team within the larger program team and is the single point of contact for project deliverables. You will be responsible for project team planning, task assignment, execution, and communications related to software development activities. Essential Responsibilities: -Ensure that user stories for all features meet the Definition of Ready prior to a sprint, and that the Definition of Done is met for each story prior to closing -Be responsible for meeting quality objectives -Lead software development planning and execution within a project, including team meetings, team communication, story estimates, task assignment / optimization, and escalation of resource gaps -Manage team-level quality objectives, schedules, and development risks and make decisions based on program and business objectives -Assist team with hands-on development and testing as required and coach the team members to ensure highest quality code is delivered -Help define team development practices, development tools, and process improvements and enforce agile behavior -Work with cross-functional groups to coordinate design and development activities -Manage dependencies and removes impediments for the team -Work closely with, or may serve as, the Scrum Master for one or more scrum teams -Escalate to the senior leadership to facilitate transparency -Be responsible for managing the work deliverables of a product, or component of the platform and mange a small team (5-8) or 1-2 scrum teams of individual contributors -Communication to team members on project progress and risks to on time completion Qualifications/Requirements: -Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science or Engineering (or related IT degree) with a minimum 4 years of experience in information systems, information technology, computer science or engineering) -Minimum of 4 years of software development experience, along with established cross functional and cross-discipline leadership Additional Eligibility Qualifications: Desired Characteristics: -Experience with J2EE / Spring Web Development-Experience with Java technologies such as Struts and Hibernate-Experience with automated test tools (JUnit, JBehave)-Experience in developing Web Services (Axis2, Rampart)-Experience implementing a Continuous Integration environment such as Jenkins.-Certified Scrum Master and practical experience in running scrum teams-Experience with Tomcat or similar web application container configuration settings.-Experience with JavaScript, CSS & HTML (HTML5)-Experience with JavaScript frameworks (JQuery, Angular, etc.)-Possesses problem solving and analytical skills-Experience working in an Agile software development environment-Ability to manage customer expectations-Project management and team leadership experience-Good debugging skills with knowledge on debug tools, browser plugins etc.-Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills… – Permanent – Full-time
