Vestas – Chennai, Tamil Nadu – An Exciting Opportunity with the Software Competence Center Team in the capacity of an Software Engineer Technology&Service Solution Turbine Software Turbine Software is responsible for the software solution embedded in all Vestas turbines. This includes the real-time communication backbone that ties all the distributed control nodes together, the real time operating system of the control nodes and the high level functionality that control and monitor all parts of the mechanical systems in the turbine. We are a team of around 80 engineers spread between Denmark & India working in a highly innovative technology-centric and process driven environment. Responsibilities and tasks Working with Functional Leads on the Software Specification changes for the various Turbine Sub-systems Understanding, Implementing & Testing the change in line with guidelines Participate in Implementation & Functional Reviews Qualifications and work experience Strong C AND C Coding skills is must-have 5-8 years of experience in Embedded Software Applications Good knowledge on TCP/IP Protocol & Microcontroller communication protocols like CAN, CANOpen, SPI, RS232/485/422 Working Knowledge of embedded system operating systems, VxWorks, RTOS, Linux Working Knowledge of Sensors and Actuators Excellent communication skills in English – oral and written Personality You have a will and capacity to learn and adapt quickly Ability to analyze problems by reverse engineering and troubleshoot Work effectively in geographically dispersed teams by effective and crisp communication.
