Pune, Maharashtra – Description Seeking an experienced Windows Server Engineer In this position the candidate’s primary responsibility will be in the architecture, design, and support of global windows operating systems standards The qualified engineer is responsible for the evaluation, development and implementation of operating system enhancements to improve the reliability, scalability, sustainability, and availability of the Windows server environment The engineer will lead and facilitate strategic projects involved in evaluating and researching new and existing products, procedures and/or workflows needs associated with Window Server operating systems These tasks include developing server build support for server hardware, testing OS hotfixes and patches, creating server provisioning, deployment, and management solutions using PowerShell and VB scripts, standardizing on server OS configurations and best practices, creating technical whitepaper and training documents, developing custom SCOM management packs for OS monitoring, providing senior level guidance and support to counterparts in North America, Europe, Asia, Latin America and Japan The engineer will also develop technical growth working with new and innovative technologies and vendor products on Windows environment and build partnership with business sectors and engineering teams in the organization Qualifications The candidate must possess the following experience/skills to perform this job: 7 years or more experience in Windows Server Operating System 5 years or more experience in Systems Architecture, design, support and troubleshooting enterprise Windows environments Scripting experience (PowerShell/WSH) Deep Knowledge of OS provisioning, Microsoft clustering, and virtualization technologies A solid understanding of Windows and networking environment Information security and patching SCOM Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Server hardware and VMware Project management Vendor escalation/management Strong communication and organization skills Client-focused BS in Computer Science or related major Primary Location: India,Maharashtra,Pune Other Location: Asia Pacific Education: Associate’s Degree/College Diploma Job Function: Technology Travel Time: Yes, 10 % of the Time Job ID: 15067410… – Permanent – Full-time
