Posted Position Title: Software Engineer Career Level: Experienced Function: Engineering/Technology Function Segment: Applications and Software Location: India U.S. State, China or Canada Provinces: City: Bangalore Postal Code: 560066 Relocation Assistance: No Role Summary/Purpose: This is a critical position in a globally distributed Healthcare Partners Engineering Organization and presents a unique opportunity, within a growing organization, developing products that define healthcare solutions globally. The person holding this position will be responsible to serve as Software Engineer for the team. Essential Responsibilities: You will be responsible for programming a feature and or a small feature set. You will contribute to the team and works with direction from the Senior Team Members or management but works independently. In this role you will: – Act as a member of the team, representing the face of high quality design and development practices – Develop high performing, scaling and innovative end-to-end web applications – Collaborate with system engineers, frontend developers and software developers to implement solutions that are aligned with and extend shared platforms and solutions – Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques – Writes codes that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project – Build features such as web services and Queries on existing tables – Understand performance parameters and assess application performance – Work on core data structures and algorithms and implement them using language of choice Qualifications/Requirements: – Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) – A minimum of 2 years of professional experience (include technical skill) – Hands on development experience in Core Java, Spring, Hibernate. – Experience using tools like Eclipse, Perforce, Maven/Ant, and Bamboo or Cruise control – Experience with unit testing using JUnit and mock framework – Experience in WebServices using SOAP and RESTful frameworks – Experience in Agile development practices: Test Driven Development (TDD), Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and Scrum. – Creative Problem solver and Open to learning new technologies. – Excellent Analytical and Problem solving skills – Work collaboratively as part of a self-organizing scrum team with minimal supervision – Participate in testing efforts as needed. – Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills.
